Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Honoree

Acute B-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Patient

My son Mohammad was diagnosed with Acute B-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia on April 14, 2022. I thought he had the flu but he wasn’t getting any better so I took him to the emergency room to see what was going on. They ran some labs and came back almost immediately and said he needed a bone marrow biopsy to confirm if he had leukemia.

Hearing those words is every parents worst nightmare. The next day he was officially diagnosed. He has gone through more biopsy’s than I can count, chemo almost every week, frequent bone marrows and spinal taps & more. Mohammad is currently in remission and will continue to have chemo for the next 2 years. He will continue to fight and never give up.
