Hepatoblastoma

Angel

Raymond was the light of our lives. We called him our Ray of Light. He was diagnosed with stage 4 hepatoblastoma at the age of 2. He never let his diagnosis define him though. He went through over 100 doses of chemotherapies/immunotherapy, he had 10 rounds of radiation, he had 5 major surgeries and 5 minor surgeries, he did all of that with the most wholesome smile on his face.

His childhood was wrapped around hospital stays, clinic visits, but most importantly so much love from every person he came in contact with. His biggest supporter was his big sister Lacey, she wanted nothing more than for her brother to be able to play with her like he did before cancer.

He fought for 1,120 days and he unexpectedly passed away at the age of 5 from a fatal brain bleed from the cancer. We miss him dearly, cancer took a boy from our family who had dreams and wishes. Cancer took our sweet boy who deserved the world. Our family won’t stop fighting for a cure for children like mine, and for so many others who have and are fighting this ugly disease.

-Lauren, Raymond’s mom forever
