YOU help make our events happen!

Childhood Cancer Foundation would not be able to provide the many activities, events, and programs WITHOUT the donation of hundreds of volunteer hours. Volunteers allow CCFSoCal to stretch every dollar to make the greatest impact on our families and in return, provide a positive outlet for the community to express care and support for children and families in need.

We welcome volunteers ages 14 and older at our events and activities.

Corporate Volunteer Hours Matching Programs

Many companies have a Volunteer Hours Matching Program that will make donations to Childhood Cancer Foundation based on the number of hours you volunteer with our foundation. Companies such as Microsoft, Boeing and Amazon pay an hourly rate for your volunteer time. It’s easy for Childhood Cancer Foundation to benefit from these offerings. Simply submit your volunteer hours on your company’s employee volunteer site. A Childhood Cancer Foundation Staff Member will confirm these hours prior to payment from the company.

For example, Microsoft will donate $25/hour to our foundation when you volunteer with our organization. Please check with your Human Resources Department to confirm their participation in a Volunteer Matching Program.

If you have questions regarding these Programs, please contact us at kids@ccfsocal.org.

Does your company offer a volunteer hour matching program and you do not see it on our list? Let us know so we can update our info!

Starbucks

Starbucks recognizes and supports partners’ individual contributions of volunteer time to qualified non-profit organizations. All Starbucks partners are eligible to request a $5 grant for each volunteer hour tracked in the Community Champion Portal.

Active Starbucks partners may request up to $1,000 per fiscal year (October 1—September 30) through the Starbucks Giving Match program, using any combination of volunteer hours and financial donations to qualified non-profit organizations. All requests are subject to review and approval. To be eligible, you must be an active partner when you contribute your time, as well as when the request is processed and paid.
