teen connection

Being a teen is a very difficult and challenging time in life and having cancer compounds that difficulty. Being able to speak and interact with other teens experiencing cancer can be helpful. Teen Connection was formed at the teens request in July 2002 providing ample opportunities for teens diagnosed with cancer to meet with youth and adult facilitators to enjoy life as a teen, socialize, share experiences and receive peer support.

Teen Connection gets together once a month to do various activities which include: trips to Disneyland, trips to Knott’s Scary Farm, arcade trips, bowling alleys, online zoom activities and so much more at no cost to the teen patient/survivor.

One of the top priorities of Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California is the health and well-being of our children and their families. With the ongoing concern for public safety and efforts to minimize the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Teen Connection Events have transitioned into “virtual” zoom meetings. We have resumed in-person meetings but will continue to alternate between in-person and virtual meetings to offer a more inclusive opportunity for participation.
