Kyven was diagnosed at 7 years old on September 22, 2014 with Pre-B cell ALL. He went through three & a half years of treatment. He finished treatment in December 2017.

He was doing great then in September 2019 he relapsed with MDS with monosomy 7. He had his first bone marrow transplant October 11, 2019. His donor was his older sister.  He got through all of that like a champ. He was recovering then in September 2020 he relapsed again with MDS with monosomy 7.

Again he had to have another bone marrow transplant his older brother was his donor with this one. His transplant was December 22, 2020. He fought through that one also like a warrior but once again on October he relapsed yet again but this time with Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) they were out of options this time.

This time we opted to stop everything & let him enjoy what little time he had. And this is what we did. He enjoyed his last few months. He passed away Jan 5,2022. He fought for a long & hard 7 years, half of his life. He was a spunky full of life kid. He loved sports, music & videos games. He never once complained during his treatments he fought HARD.
